Forge Your Plans With Us

Our History
From Smithy to Meeting Place
The Old Smithy is a place with character. Originally, it was a workshop where iron was forged, tools were crafted, and ideas were brought to life for generations. The walls tell of hard work, of sparks that flew, and of people who passionately created something lasting.
Over time, craftsmanship and society changed – the smithy lost its original function but remained as a silent witness to the past. Instead of being forgotten, it received a new purpose: to connect people, to give ideas space, and to enable change.
Today, the Old Smithy combines tradition and transformation. The historic building structure was carefully preserved, while modern elements such as lighting, technology and flexible room design open up new possibilities. This creates a special place where the past remains tangible while the future is being shaped.
The Old Smithy thus symbolizes what drives us: Learning from history, preserving the best – and creating spaces that enable inspiration, connection and development.

The Team Behind the Old Smithy
People with Passion

Ronny Nietlisbach
Founder & CEO
For over two decades, I have been supporting companies, organizations and executives in developing their structures and processes. My journey began in traditional craftsmanship, where I learned how important precision, perseverance and reliability are. These experiences still form the foundation of my work today: practical, solution-oriented and always focused on sustainable impact. My focus areas are Lean Business Transformation, Process Optimization and Change Management. I am driven by the conviction that every company has potential that can be unlocked – through structured approaches, clear communication and the courage to take new paths. I see my role not just as a consultant, but as a partner at eye level who inspires, guides and provides impulses for sustainable development.

Angela Cubas
Marketing
With over 10 years of experience as a hairdresser, I have developed a keen sense for style and detail and enjoy working with people. In the last 5 years, I have deepened my knowledge in a travel agency, helping customers realize their dream trips. Now I support the marketing team. I love change and new challenges that allow me to be creative and develop my skills.

Christina Nietlisbach
Finance & Controlling
For around 20 years, I have been familiar with the setup, execution and analysis of financial processes and business closings. I particularly focus on creating systematics and transparency as well as involving and collaborating with stakeholders. As the main person responsible for finance, controlling, HR and legal, I can rely on sound knowledge in accounting and controlling.
